WHAT ARE FAT DISSOLVING INJECTIONS?

   This treatment is called intralipotherapy, and it’s relatively new and popular in the field of aesthetics. Fat dissolving injections are intended to permanently eliminate the stubborn pockets of fat that aren’t affected even by regular exercise and healthy, balanced diets.

 

Here at M & M Aesthetics, we use DesoBody® and DesoFace® to perform fat dissolving treatments. These injections deliver a dose of deoxycholic acid, which is FDA-approved, that is naturally produced by our bodies to break down fat. After the procedure, fat cells are broken down and naturally leave the body over the course of 2 to 4 weeks.

How many treatments will I need?

Clients will likely need 2 to 4 treatments taken every 4 weeks for DesoFace® and 6 weeks for DesoBody®.

When will I see results?

That depends on your metabolism, as well as many other physical factors, but the process usually takes between 3 to 6 weeks for visible results.

Is there any downtime?

No, unlike other fat loss treatments, DesoBody® and DesoFace® allow you to continue your normal daily routine immediately after.

Does the treatment hurt?

DesoBody® and DesoFace® procedures are generally considered fairly painless, and they contain a local anaesthetic to reduce discomfort. However, all injectable treatments can cause discomfort during treatment.

Are there any side effects I should keep in mind?

You may experience redness, swelling, and sensitivity at the injection site for a day or two following your appointment, but you can carry on with regular activities.

How long do the results last?

DesoBody® and DesoFace® permanently destroy fat cells. However, fat cells can always be gained back.
